San Ramon Art & Wind Festival

San Ramon is well known for its San Ramon Art & Wind Festival which brings more than 200 community-based programs and activities to celebrate the start of summer. This year the festival was scheduled over Memorial Day weekend in San Ramon’s Central Park at 12501 Alcosta Blvd. The Festival features cool activities such as professional kite flying demonstrations and two large kids’ activity areas for free play. There are more than 200 arts and crafts booths to browse, variety entertainment by local schools and organizations on three stages to watch, and plenty of food booths featuring fair fare such as pretzels, funnel cakes, specialty sandwiches, and other favorites. There’s an early morning hot air balloon launch and a hang-gliding demonstration headlining the main attractions most years. No pets are allowed at the San Ramon Art & Wind Festival.

Star Spangled Spectacular

Each year, San Ramon pulls out all the stops to celebrate the Fourth of July with a joyous celebration with music, a salute to the armed forces, and other festivities. The celebration starts early with a Kid’s Activity Area with rides and interactive games including hamster balls sponsored by The San Ramon Chamber of Commerce. Food and beverage booths run by San Ramon non-profit organizations offer many options for dining while enjoying the events, unless you choose to bring a picnic.
